It may seem like an unreal idea, but there is a zero APR credit card that can help you get out of debt. The zero APR credit card, is a no interest rate offer through various financial institutions that need new customers. When you use these kinds of cards, they give you an either low interest rate or no interest rate charge at all, during the introductory period, and during this time, you will not be charged one bit of interest on the balance that you owe.

If you have a high interest rate card, and get a zero APR credit card, you can transfer the balance to it. So, if you have an old credit card that charges 18% to 24% interest, you can move that balance over to the credit card with 0 APR. You can save a lot of money by doing this. You can save as much as $100 a month, by transferring a high balance credit card to a zero APR intro rate card. If you can use the money that you saved to pay down the total amount that is owed, even if it was only for six months, you would have saved $600 dollars. So all you would have to do, to pay down the $600, would be to keep making the same payment you were making before, but make it on the card with 0 APR. Instead of all of the money being paid to interest, it would go towards the total principal owed, with the zero percent APR credit card.

Another smart thing that you can do financial wise, is close your original high interest card account, after you have transferred the balance to the zero APR credit card. If you have a lot of credit lines available, or simply a lot of credit cards, this can actually lower your total credit score, so getting rid of the high interest account, will also stop you from using that card anymore, so this is a smart move. A bad thing to do, when using zero APR credit cards to help you financially, is to continue to keep the high interest rate card and still use it. Lots of people do this, instead of using smart strategies to budget, since they think they can deal with the credit card payments, so they get another credit card, and then have too much credit card debt.

The interest rates on credit cards is crazy nowadays, and what is even worse, is that the companies backing these cards charge very high charges for many different things, making zero APR credit cards a very smart decision. They normally not only charge a high fee if the payment is late, they also often raise your interest rate, so taking advantage of zero APR credit card offers is intelligent. Using zero APR credit card offers, are a terrific way to help you get out of credit card debt as soon as possible, since doing this is helpful for everyone.

You can look on the Internet for many different zero APR credit cards, and remember that if one doesn't suit you, there are others to be found.
