Everyone knows that pilots are trained using flight simulators, but simulated forex trading is less well known.

The software used to simulate forex trading programs work similarly to some computer games, where the player is given a scenario and a goal. Not only do these forex trading programs let their users prepare for professional forex trading without the risk of any losses; they also allow for the user to look back on their trading to learn from their failures and successes. The forex trading programs also let the user practice as quickly or as slowly as you want. Weeks of training can be condensed into mere days.

Simulated forex trading has many benefits, including:

Gaining knowledge of relationships between currencies. Understanding how one currency works is easy for many traders, but currency pairs are more complicated. Simulated forex training programs let traders learn how currencies are related and how one currency can affect another.

Learning about the conditions of markets. It is crucial for a trader to understand the forex market, especially to have the ability to use it for your own advantage. The simulation tells traders of economic news and conditions that may impact the market and displays, sometimes very forcefully, the effects some economic events will have on trading currencies.

This lesson is very important; it is vital for knowing when to get into the market and when to get out.

Learning about the differences between trading long-term and short-term. The simulation lets you practice short-term and long-term trades, demonstrating the distinctions between them. Many forex traders make the choice to trade only in one of these.

Learning the positive and negative aspects of caution. Caution can be a problem for many traders, especially those just starting out. Simulation lets you set caution aside and try setting stop losses more loosely than you might want to.

Recognizing and implementing strategies for trading. It is vital for forex traders to decide on a strategy and hold to it. It isn't easy to find the ideal strategy and traders may end up changing strategies, hoping that this will lead to more profit. Simulated forex trading lets you try any number of strategies, safely and quickly, so that you can choose the one that you think is best, before you actually start trading live.

Forex trading, though exhilarating and profitable, can be hazardous for someone who isn't sure of what they are doing. A new trader's first goal is to learn as much as possible about the trading of currencies. Simulated forex trading is the perfect way to learn and practice.
