Are you finding you have persistent heartburn that just won’t quit?  There’s nothing worse than enjoying a nice meal only to have it ruined by that familiar burning, creeping it’s way up your throat.  If you’ve been suffering from this for any length of time, you must be desperate for some acid reflux relief any way you can get it.  The good news is there are plenty of ways to deal with you persistent heartburn and one of them is bound to work.

You’re definitely searching in the right place though, there are tons of solutions to be found on the Internet, I’m only going to be touching the surface of what remedies are out there.

Now, if you’re looking for some working home remedies for heartburn, here are some that you might want to consider:

1.        Dark Brown Sugar

Now normally I would say stay away from sugar and any foods containing it, however for some reason, dark brown sugar on it’s own is a great way to deal with persistent heartburn.  Get a teaspoon of it and down it with some water as soon as you start to feel the symptoms of acid reflux.

2.        Find Out Your Trigger Foods

Now everyone has their own foods which tend to cause acid reflux and if you’re not sure what those foods are for you, I strongly suggest you go and buy a diary and begin to take note of what they are.

You want to stay away from this list of foods whenever possible, when you go out to eat, when you’re at a friend’s place, whatever the foods are, you’ll need to stay far away.

3. Chew On Almonds

Another way to relieve heartburn is to chew on a handful of almonds. I don’t know what it is about the almonds, but something about it seems to calm the stomach.

4. Take Vitamin C

Vitamins are a great way to deal with persistent heartburn, specifically vitamin C. Head out to your local supplement store, Walmart or drug store and pick up some vitamin C in the 500mg variety. You can opt to get either the pills you swallow or the tablets you chew, it shouldn’t matter which one you take, this will help to keep your stomach acid from getting out of hand.

5. Take Vitamin B

While we’re on the subject of vitamins, another vitamin for treating heartburn is vitamin B. You need your body to maintain a healthy pH level, and vitamins such as B-12 will help remove bacterial outbreaks within your stomach. This will help bring your stomach pH to manageable levels

Now hopefully these tips have shown you how to deal with persistent heartburn, however if they are not enough for whatever reason, there are plenty more solutions to be found on the Internet, just keep searching!
