First Alert Home Security
By Paul Atredki
Many homes have home security device systems because it is a basic human instinct for people to want to protect themselves, their homes, and of course, their families. There are two main for having a home security device, one is obviously to discourage burglars, but another is the assurance of safety they bring. Perhaps you would have worried about intruders on vacation, or maybe you couldn't sleep through the night, but that's all changed now.
One of the problems with professional home security systems is that, generally speaking, the companies that supply monitored security prefer homeowners. The companies won't install their security systems for people who rent their dwelling instead of owning their own home. If you want to protect your loved ones and your property, but don't own your own home, you may want to think about a First Alert home security.
The only drawback to a First Alert home security is that the First Alert home security systems are not actually monitored, but other than that they're perfect if you don't qualify for a big name security system. But, the resident can have the system ring their cell phone if the alarm goes off, and then the resident can call the police for themselves.
When I was living in my apartment, I absolutely loved my First Alert home security system; four sensors with double sided tape were included with the kit, and each little sensor was attached directly to the door frame.
The other piece of the system was attached to the door, and
when the alarm was activated, the pieces had to stay next to one another. The
alarm would go off if the door opened and the pieces moved away from each
other. During the first few seconds a warning alarm would sound, whoever was
entering the door would have to deactivate the alarm right then. An extremely
loud siren came after the warning alarm, and it was as this siren sounded that
the First Alert home security system would call the resident to notify them of
the break-in.
Not only can First Alert home security sensors be placed on doors, but they are little enough to be used on windows as well. Additional sensors are available if the resident should wish to add to the four sensors that originally came with the kit. You could have an alarm on every window and door of your house if you needed them. However, do it yourself home security systems can't take the place of monitored security systems even though they are simple to use and do give a certain level of security. Not to mention that a First Alert home security system cannot be programmed to call a resident in case of a fire or other emergency, only break-ins.
I've just given you the tip of the ice-berg when it comes to home security systems, so if you're still interested in the First Alert home security system, or want to compare other do it yourself security systems, then you should probably continue your research starting from the information I have provided you with.
