Looking for some cures for heartburn?  Heartburn is not the most enjoyable condition to have to deal with.  I mean, you might have had a long day, come home for a nice dinner, perhaps your favorite dish, enjoyed it, only to experience some serious repercussions for having eaten it.  That oh so familiar burning of the esophagus, and throat Is just killer and can totally ruin your day.

The good news is there are plenty of cures for heartburn to be found on the Internet.  I’ve spent some time gathering up some of these solutions, although there are plenty more out there for you to find.

So now, if you need some cures for heartburn, here’s the personal list of solutions I’ve assembled, one of these remedies for heartburn is bound to have a positive effect on you:

1.        Peppermint

You know that herb that’s used for a garnish on many dishes?  If you chew on some of that after your meals, it will help aid in digestion.

2.        Raw Vegetables

Another one of the cures for heartburn that I found was simply eating raw vegetables.  This is something you can easily do through buying salads, which I find are quite the popular choice at work during lunch hour.

Now you can also add some pineapple and papaya as well if you want to help with the digestion of the food and neutralize your stomach acid.

3. Portion Control

This isn’t a cure, but it is a way of treating heartburn. If you stop eating 3 large meals a day and instead break that down into 5-6 smaller meals, you will be lessening your chances of developing acid reflux after your meals. With less food in the stomach to digest, it’s not as easy for it to wind up causing your problems.

4. Chew Gum

Another way to deal with persistent heartburn is to chew some gum right after your meal. By doing this, you’re not only serving to freshen your breath, but as you swallow, that saliva will work to digest the food in your stomach as well as to keep the acid reflux from migrating to far up your throat.

5. Almonds

There is something about eating almonds that helps with digestion, I’m not sure what it is, but just try eating a couple the next time you feel like you’re having a heartburn episode.

6. Milk

Another remedy that will provide for some natural heartburn relief is a glass of warm milk. Milk contains a lot of naturally occurring bacteria which will work to offset the pH imbalance in your stomach which is causing your acid reflux in the first place.

Phew, that should do it! Hopefully those 6 cures for heartburn are enough to prepare you for your next bout with this disorder. If you don’t like any of these tips or have no success with them, don’t worry, there are plenty more to be found on the Internet, keep searching!
